Sir Liam Fox MP writes to Regional Management of Superdrug regarding the viability of opening a pharmacy in Portishead

Sir Liam Fox MP has today written to the Regional General Manager of Superdrug to ask about the viability of the company opening a pharmacy in Portishead.

The full content of Sir Liam's email is as follows:

Good Afternoon,

As you may know, there has been a great deal of concern from residents in Portishead in my constituency of North Somerset about the diminishing lack of Pharmacy facilities in the town.

I wonder if Superdrug have looked to see whether this might be a viable commercial option for the company? A town of 25,000 residents should be able to support more than two small pharmacies, which is what we will have when Boots closes down.

I would be more than happy to organise a meeting to discuss this issue, and the potential viability for Superdrug of opening a pharmacy in Portishead, in more detail, should it be wished.

Best,

Liam
