I have heard people say that if Scotland votes for independence and it goes wrong, then there can be another referendum to recreate the United Kingdom.
Well that’s not how it works. There won’t be any automatic chance for Scotland to change its mind or to think again.
Scotland has a right to decide to leave the United Kingdom on its own, but it doesn’t have any right to return on its own, if things don’t work out. Those voting in the referendum need to understand that independence is forever, separation is for keeps. That’s why this decision is so important
