Dr Liam Fox MP attended the 'Made in North Somerset' festival at Tyntesfield House in Wraxall. The National Trust property provided a spectacular backdrop for the final weekend of three week celebration of local food, drink, art and craft which had taken place across the region.
The ‘Made in North Somerset’ festival, now in its fourth year, takes place every autumn and is co-ordinated by the Economic Development Service at North Somerset Council. The primary aim of the festival is to showcase the host of high quality producers we have in North Somerset from the artisan to those now exporting worldwide and everything in between.
Dr Liam Fox was joined by North Somerset Development Service Simon Gregory, Senior Economic Development Officer Mandy Berry and Cllrs Charles Cave and Annabel Tall. They enjoyed sampling local apple juice, wine, cheese, bread and chocolate amongst many other local products. Dr Liam Fox said "I am so impressed by the strength of the growing North Somerset economy and the range and quality of products. It's fantastic to see such enthusiasm promoting our local identity".
