Dr Liam Fox MP enjoyed a wonderful musical afternoon in the sun at the MRNfest in Yatton. This was the first festival organised by the Mid Rural Network; an organisation who co-ordinate and connect youth services for children and young people in the villages of Yatton, Backwell, Congresbury and surrounding parishes.
The festival provided an opportunity for young musicians to perform in public. Acts included rock bands, violins, dance and guitar. In addition there were a number of stalls and workshops held throughout the day.
Dr Liam Fox said “I am delighted to see so many talented youngsters performing and very impressed with the effort that the Mid Rural Network have put into organising the event. I look forward to attending again next year.
The event was also attended by all three Yatton Ward Councillors, Cllr Annabel Tall, Cllr Jill Iles and Cllr Tony Moulin, the Chairman of the Council; Cllr David Hitchins and Chairman of the Mid Rural Network; Cllr Geoff Coombs.
