Second Referendum 7/19

Thank you very much for your email asking for a second Referendum. I believe we have a duty to implement the democratic decision taken by the British people in 2016. This was completely in line with our constitutional practice. Parliament voted overwhelmingly to hold the Referendum and promised to implement the result. Furthermore, 80% of current MPs were elected on a Manifesto promise at the 2017 election to do so.  It is now no longer simply a matter of Brexit, but the integrity of our political system. It is a matter of duty and honour that MPs carry out the promise they made to voters on this issue. I have heard no arguments that would persuade me to vote for a second Referendum and will certainly vote against this if it comes before Parliament. I am sorry to have to disagree with you on this issue.
